Custom Massage

Pamper your body with this individualized treatment. After a brief consultation with the client, our massage therapist will determine the best combination of massage modalities. This can include any combination of; Light Pressure Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Shiatsu, Mayofascial Release, Trigger Point, and more according to the therapist’s style and the client’s individual needs. You are guaranteed to leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues. Lymphatic drainage massage uses very light pressure, as well as long, gentle, rhythmic strokes and soft pumping movements in the direction of the lymph nodes.
Myofascial Release Treatment

A 1 hour treatment dedicated completely to myofascial release! Myofascial release is a manual therapy technique often used in massage. The technique focuses on pain believed to arise from myofascial tissues — the tough membranes that wrap, connect and support your muscles. During myofascial release therapy, the therapist locates myofascial areas that feel stiff and fixed instead of elastic and movable under light manual pressure. These areas, though not always near what feels like the source of pain, are thought to restrict muscle and joint movements, which contributes to widespread muscle pain. The focused manual pressure and stretching used in myofascial release therapy loosen up restricted movement, leading indirectly to reduced pain.
Stone Therapy

The stone massage is a form of alternative medicine massage therapy and bodywork involving the placement of a number of either heated or cooled stones to the body for the purpose of pain relief, relaxation and therapy. Using polished, smooth stones of all shapes and sizes and of varying temperatures it elicits physical healing, mental relaxation, and a connection to the earth’s energy. Stone massage therapy helps melt away tension, ease muscle stiffness, and increase circulation and metabolism. Hot stones, when coupled with massage, also aid in the expansion of blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body.
Prenatal Massage

The nine month journey of nurturing is a special time. Connecting with the mother through the power of touch, working with two heartbeats as one. Tried and tested safe pregnancy massage techniques adapted to each stage of pregnancy. A special pregnancy pillow is used so the mother-to-be can lie on her stomach to ensure ultimate comfort and relaxation. (Makiko Karp is the only Massage Therapist that provides a pregnancy pillow with this service at the moment)

Sound Bath & Tuning Fork Session
